Small Towns Have Foodies Too.

Last summer my inner-foodie had the (delicious) pleasure of joining one of my best friends on a life-changing adventure in Kanab, Utah.

Kanab is a charmingly small town, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, yet somehow perfectly situated between three national parks (most notably Zion, Bryce Canyon, & the Grand Canyon), five national monuments, two state parks, and two national forests. Kind of perfect and unbelievable, I know.

It's there that Mandy Walters (of Amanda in the Canyons) had recently come into ownership of her father's amazingly beautiful hotel properties, known as The Canyons Collection.

In one of the more stunning properties, called The Canyons Boutique Hotel, they had recently opened Sego - a restaurant that will have you double-checking which city you're in. The food is so incredible and creative, you won't believe you're in the middle of 'nowhere'.

One mouthwatering night, I was given the opportunity to shoot some photos for Sego - and the man behind the menu, Chef Shon. I still can't decide if I had a better time taking the photos, or eating the subjects (but leaning towards eating).

If you're ever in the area, I HIGHLY recommend Zion National Park, and Sego's chocolate chip cookies.
